• A Warm Welcome...

EMDR doesn't demand years of revisiting traumas through
traditional talk therapy. Our ‘no wait list’ clinic provides effective,
efficient, evidence based treatment. We believe you don’t have to
live with the burdens of trauma, anxiety, depression, phobias,
    addictions, or unfulfilling relationships.

We specialize in therapy for all ages, including children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. We offer therapy to people living in Ontario, with supervision and consultation services offered to clinicians from every state. Teletherapy (video/telephone) is also available for all ages and can be just as effective as in person. We are all EMDR clinicians, however we are well versed in many other therapy options, including CBT, Brainspotting, DBT, and IFS. Who am I?

For as long as I remember, I've felt a strong sense of empathy and compassion for others. This is what led me to the helping profession, working with truly courageous people in doing repair work at the deepest level. I am a proud "Mama" to three beautiful souls who I'm lucky enough to call my children, and my family is where I place a great deal of my time. When I'm not with my family, I'm spending time with my animals, travelling, or enjoying our beautiful mother earth.

I am here to help.

I’m a Registered Social Worker with 20 years of experience, with a Master’s degree from the University of Windsor and advanced training as a Clinical Traumatologist. As an ADHD Clinical Services Provider, I also support clients in exploring and understanding ADHD. As an EMDRIA Certified EMDR Therapist, I offer both regular sessions and EMDR intensives, designed for those who want to make powerful progress in a shorter amount of time. I also provide supervision for Social Workers and Psychotherapists, and consultation for EMDR professionals looking to strengthen their practice.

My clinical practices reflect core principles of a trauma specialized approach to care. I dedicate myself to each one of my clients, and admire the strength and commitment it takes for healing and transformation. You become an important and cared for part of a supportive dynamic in your work with me.

We don't want band aid solutions, we want permanent shifts in your system. Let’s work with the root of your issues, and the symptoms will take care of themselves. A confidential, non-judgemental, and safe therapeutic relationship is of utmost importance to me in my work with you. Feel free to reach out for a consult if you are curious if we may be a good fit.

Emily Spagnolo, Clinic Associate

Registered Social Worker, Certified EMDR Therapist

Emily…

I am a registered social worker with a masters degree from the University of Windsor and an undergraduate degree in psychology. I hold certifications in EMDR, DBT, Addictions, and CBT and always use a trauma focused lens in my work. I work with adolescents and adults on issues of self esteem, trauma, depression, anxiety, and relationship challenges.

The way I approach the work with every client is different, however the constant that I bring is a desire to make sure you feel heard, seen, and supported within the context of a safe space. It is my desire to help you better understand how your behaviour and choices make sense to you. Every day in doing this work, I consider it to be an honour and privilege to bear witness to clients as they endure challenges, successes, understanding, and growth.

Lesley, Clinic Associate

Registered Social Worker, EMDR Trained Therapist

Lesley…

I am a registered social worker and EMDR therapist who’s interest in mental health evolved from working as a massage therapist 20 years ago when my curiousity peaked about the different ways that people heal. This awareness sparked my interest to study psychology and neuroscience, and eventually clinical social work. I hold a Bachelor of Science with a major in psychology, a masters in social work, and two publications in the area of neuroscience.

I have over 12 years of experience working as a social worker in treatment centres, family health teams, and in community mental health. My areas of interest include attachment theory, developmental theory, motivation and emotion, trauma, and brain science. I use a mix of therapeutic approaches with clients which include mindfulness, CBT, DBT, and EMDR. I work with children, youth, couples, individuals, and families.

Usha, Clinic Associate

Registered Psychotherapist, Certified EMDR Therapist

Usha…

My therapeutic approach is grounded in the belief that every living being has the wisdom to heal themselves, and that you can access that power. I support my clients to stabilize and regulate their emotions and nervous systems and restore a balanced relationship with their body. Together we address the unconscious dynamics that may be fueling your distress and create new pathways for understanding your experiences.

I have witnessed transformational healing and I know that magic happens when we can get out of the way and allow it. Working collaboratively from your unique perspective, I provide trauma focused, somatic and mindful therapy that promotes your strengths and supports your fullest potential.

I am a Certified EMDR Therapist and specialize in treating single incident and chronic trauma, along with the symptoms that followed. Trauma occurred when you felt isolated and overwhelmed and lacked the resources to emotionally process what was happening to you. Together we can complete the process, allowing for resolution of the trauma and the symptoms. Working with somatic awareness, self-compassion, and polyvagal theory, I help clients better understand and respond to their body and their environments.

Additionally, I also provide Pain Reprocessing Therapy and Compassionate Inquiry. I specialize in Perinatal Mental Health including issues around fertility, pregnancy, birth, postpartum, complications, transitions, and loss.

I have been passionate about supporting people on a healing journey since 1998 and practiced as a Registered Midwife and a massage therapist before becoming a Registered Psychotherapist. I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling and Psychotherapy from Yorkville University and a Bachelor of Science in Midwifery from Ryerson University. My personal passions include yoga, meditation, and dance.

"The speed at which change occurs during EMDR contradicts the traditional notion of time as essential for psychological healing."
