How do I schedule an appointment?

What is the cost per session?

The rate of 50 minute individual sessions are therapist dependent and range between $140-$160. There is no tax on fees. There are longer appointments available upon request. We offer a couple slots at a reduced rate. Please let us know your needs so we can consider this.

How does counselling work-is it the right choice for me?

The task of finding a therapist can be overwhelming and confusing. There are so many options! Many clients are unsure of what to expect from therapy and are hesitant about opening up to someone new. It is very normal to feel nervous about meeting with a therapist for the first time. The clinic has five licensed clinical therapists, all with specific focuses and backgrounds. We are happy to work with you to be fit with the therapist that will best suit your needs.

The first session allows us to discuss your current situation and challenges, and explore what changes you would like to accomplish and your expectations of how we can work together to achieve these changes. Counselling continues until you have met your goals, and follow up is offered on an as needed basis. Therapy can help you gain new perspectives, process difficult life experiences, and create or regain a renewed sense of hope and direction.

When do you offer your sessions?

We offer flexible scheduling with availability during the day, evening, and weekend. Please let us know your needs for scheduling.

Are sessions covered by Insurance?

A receipt will be provided once payment is received. As members in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW), and Ontario Association of Social Workers (OASW), our fees are covered by most insurance plans. All of our therapists are Registered Social Workers with a Master of Social Work designation. Please check with your insurance provider to determine your coverage. Clinical social work services can also be claimed (on your tax form) as a Medical Expense Tax Deduction, due to the recognition of Social Workers as "Authorized Medical Practitioners.”
